Send error alerts to Slack

Route the errors that matter to the channel your team actually watches, deduplicated so one incident is one message, not a flood of pings.

  1. Open your project's alert settings

In the dashboard, go to the project you want to alert on and open its alerts. Alerts are per-project, so a backend spike doesn't have to page the mobile team.

  2. Add a Slack channel

Connect the Slack channel you want notified. If you'd rather fan out to something else, a generic webhook works alongside email and Slack.

  3. Choose the rule kinds

Alert on a brand-new issue, an old one coming back (a regression), or a sudden spike in event volume. You can also alert on a missed cron check-in or an uptime failure.

  4. Set thresholds and let dedup work

Set a threshold per rule. A busy issue notifies you once with a summary of what changed, rather than once per event.

  5. Test it

Trigger a test error and confirm the Slack message arrives with the issue title and a link straight to it.
