Set up AI root-cause analysis and autofix

Vakt360 can read the code around an error, explain the root cause, and open a draft pull request with the fix. Here is how to turn it on and stay in control while it does.

How-to · 4 min read

  1. Add an AI model

Analysis and autofix run on a language model. In your workspace settings, add your own OpenAI, Azure OpenAI or Anthropic key so your event data goes only to the provider you choose, or use the built-in model where your plan includes one. Without a model configured, the AI features stay switched off.

  2. Upload source maps first

The analysis is only as good as the stack trace it reads. Upload your source maps so frames resolve to your original code, which makes the root cause and the suspect lines far more accurate. See the source-maps guide for the flow.

  3. Run root-cause analysis on an issue

Open any issue and run analysis. Vakt360 sends the symbolicated exception, the frames with their surrounding source, the breadcrumbs and the request context to the model, and returns a plain-language cause, the suspect files and lines ranked by likelihood, and a suggested fix. Every event is treated as untrusted input, with prompt-injection defences in the prompt.

  4. Link a GitHub repository

To go from advice to a pull request, link the project to its GitHub repository. Vakt360 stores the connection as an encrypted token scoped to the repositories you choose, and never touches a repo you did not connect.

  5. Let it open a draft pull request

With a repo linked, Vakt360 pulls the suspected files, writes a patch and opens a clearly-labelled draft pull request on its own vakt360-fix branch. Review it like any other PR. Nothing merges without you.

  6. It watches CI, revises, and confirms the fix

The agent watches the checks on its own PR and, if they fail, feeds the failures back to the model and pushes a corrected commit. After you merge, it keeps watching the issue: if the error stays gone it resolves it, and if it comes back it reopens it and flags the regression.
